Energy Transition

Alantra’s energy transition fund, Klima, is a 210M€ late-stage venture fund supporting energy-tech companies in their early-growth phase. Klima intends to back breakthrough innovations accelerating the energy transition and slowing down the pace of climate change. Alongside Enagas, as cornerstone investor, Klima is backed by relevant investors such as the European Investment Fund, Axis ICO and CPPI.

Regionally, Klima’s primary focus is Europe, but also covers North America. Klima is an energy-tech specialist investing in the following verticals: (i) low carbon solutions, (ii) incremental technologies and automation for renewable generation, (iii) smart grids, energy storage and power markets, (iv) sustainable mobility and transportation, with two transversal topics: energy efficiency and digital solutions.

Because of the intrinsic nature of its investment, Klima is an impact fund by nature but also ESG compliant by design, therefore article 9.2 of EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation.

Klima’s independent investment team is based in Madrid (Spain), Paris (France), Bonn (Germany) and London (United Kingdom).
