Michael O’Sullivan

Michael O’Sullivan is a Managing Director and co-leads Credit Solutions within Alantra FIG.

The Credit Solutions team are the leading European advisor for banks, financial institutions and sponsors on structuring and executing credit transactions, bringing extensive asset and market knowledge across the credit spectrum.

Michael has significant experience in loan portfolio and credit platform transactions across all asset and performance classes in Europe. He has worked extensively on both buy-side and sell-side engagements, assisting on all aspects of the transaction across perimeter selection, transaction preparation, valuations, due diligence, bidder engagement, and contract negotiations.

Michael has been a crucial lead advisor in many of the largest credit transactions over the past 10 years in Ireland, where he leads the team. He has a deep understanding of the key value drivers for performing, re-performing, and nonperforming loans and the requirements for different investor types, together with extensive knowledge of the Irish credit market (pillar banks, NBFIs, and financial investors).

Michael has a First-Class Honors degree in Structural Engineering and a Masters in Financial Economics, from the University of College Cork.
