Christian Carlson

Christian Carlson is a Director with the North America Healthcare team in New York.  He has over eight years of experience executing M&A and providing strategic advisory services to a variety of clients in the life science tools, services and software sector, as well as biopharmaceutical and medical technology companies.  Prior to joining the firm, Christian advised numerous clients on divestiture and acquisition assignments for Crosstree Capital Partners, a boutique healthcare focused investment bank in New York.

Prior to his career in investment banking, Christian worked as a research scientist in drug discovery and development leading to clinical development of multiple novel chemical entities.  Christian is the recipient of multiple research awards, including a NIH National Research Service Award, the Abbott Laboratories/Northwestern University Fellowship in Diabetes Research, and an American College of Sports Medicine Research Award.  Christian is an author of 11 peer-reviewed publications and numerous presentations at international scientific meetings.

Christian has a PhD from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
