Alantra advises Viatel on its strategic investment from Macquarie Capital Principal Finance

London – Alantra, the independent global mid-market financial services firm, has advised Viatel Technology Group Limited (“Viatel” or the “Company”) on its new strategic investment from Macquarie Capital Principal Finance. The investment will fuel the company’s continued organic and acquisition driven expansion.
Macquarie Capital will join Chirisa, Quay Ventures and management as a new shareholder in the business. The agreement will also see Nick Patrick from Macquarie Capital Principal Finance join the Group’s Board.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close in early 2024.
Alantra’s UK Technology team, including James Chapman-Andrews, Oliver Norman, Jamie King, Christopher Bates and Nick Daborn, advised Viatel.
