Madrid Alantra, the global investment banking and asset management specialist, has advised the Spanish ceramic sanitaryware and fittings producer, Roca Group, on the acquisition of a 100% of Sanit, a leading German producer of specialized sanitary products, previously owned by Aliaxis.

Based in Eisenberg, Sanit produces and sells specialized sanitary products, focusing on pre-wall systems, such as concealed cisterns. The company operates three production facilities in Germany, in Eisenberg, Rodental and Wittenberg, employs 400 people and exports to 70 countries. Until now, the company was part of Aliaxis, a Belgium global leader in advanced piping systems.

Roca’s Group acquisition of a 100% of Sanit will support its strategy to create specialized competence centers for the different product categories in the bathroom industry.

“The acquisition of Sanit is a fundamental step in our strategy of integrating products into complete bathroom solutions and incorporating high value-added technology into our product portfolio, thereby strengthening our global leadership,” said Albert Magrans, CEO of Roca.

Founded in 1917 in Barcelona, Roca Group is a wholly Spanish-owned company dedicated to the creation of bathroom spaces. The Group is the largest worldwide producer of ceramic sanitaryware and fittings, with presence in 170 countries, more than 80 productions facilities across the world, more than 24,000 employees and €1.8 billion in revenues.
