Alantra has advised the shareholders of Phaidon International on the £18 million investment by Muzinich & Co and HSBC Bank Plc.
Phaidon is a multi-award winning recruitment business focused on contingent search. The company specialises in placing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) professionals into key global markets. Founded by Adam Buck in 2004 the business has grown organically and now operates across the world with over 300 employees. The company is headquartered in London with significant operations in the US and Asia.
Muzinich & Co. is a global institutional asset manager with c.$25bn of funds under management (as at 31 March 2016). Muzinich is headquartered in New York with offices in seven countries, including offices in London and Manchester in the UK, and others across Europe.
The investment will enable Phaidon to continue its global expansion, diversify into new markets and territories and widen the employee shareholder base, as well as allowing the management team to realise some of the value they have built up over the last ten years.
