Alantra advises Focus Home Interactive on the acquisition of Dotemu

Paris – Alantra, the global investment banking and asset management specialist, has advised Focus Home Interactive (“Focus” or “the Group”), one of the leading French gaming publishers, on the acquisition of 77,5% of the capital of Dotemu, a French leading retro-gaming publisher.
Headquartered in Paris, France, Focus Home Interactive (ENXTPA:ALFOC) is a leading French video game publisher. Focus has produced and launched many original titles in recent years, such as A Plague Tale: Innocence, Vampyr, Farming Simulator, Call of Cthulhu, Insurgency: Sandstorm and SnowRunner.
Dotemu is a video game developer and a publisher based in Paris, France, known for having released more than 50 retro games on PC, Consoles, and Mobiles. Composed of a talented and passionate team of about 30 people, Dotemu has already demonstrated its expertise in discovering and updating old cult licenses in order to transform them into critical and commercial successes at a global level. Dotemu has developed and re-released popular franchises such as Final Fantasy, Another World, Double Dragon and most recently Street of Rage, played by more than 2.5 million people worldwide, and is currently working on cult video game and pop culture licenses such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Metal Slug Tactics. Dotemu also develops games in-house via its development team, with titles such as Ys Origin, Heroes of Might and Magic III HD. In addition, Dotemu has recently launched an independent publishing label, The Arcade Crew, which focuses on the production and publishing of games with a retro feel, such as The Last Spell or Dark Devotion.
