Alantra strengthens its specialized advisory teams by hiring five senior professionals in Real Estate, Technology, and Industrials

- The Firm has recruited a five-member Real Estate & Hospitality sector team for its Paris office, including three Partners with between 15 to 20 years of experience in the real estate sector.
- Alantra is also announcing the incorporation of Sven Harmsen (Industrials) and Mathias Heymann (Technology) as Managing Directors in Frankfurt, Germany. They bring more than 20 and 11 years of investment banking experience, respectively.
- This announcement signifies another step in Alantra’s global growth trajectory. In 2021, the Firm has hired more than 25 senior professionals to reinforce its sector expertise in Technology, Real Estate, Healthcare, and FIG and added a debt advisory team in Italy.

Paris / Frankfurt – Alantra, the independent global mid-market investment banking and asset management firm, today announced the addition of 5 senior professionals, increasing its specialized global offering in high-growth sectors. The Group has reinforced its investment banking capabilities by incorporating a Real Estate & Hospitality team in Paris, and two Managing Directors in Frankfurt focused on Industrials and Technology.
Based in Paris, the new Real Estate & Hospitality sector team consists of five professionals, including three partners, each with between 15 and 20 years of experience in the sector. Working together since 2016 in the Capital Markets department of the Babylone Group, the three new partners—Yonel Marelli, Richard Desgroppes and Jérémie Sénior—have transacted a combined total of 150 deals worth €4.6 billion. Each has a distinguished track record with the leading French and international players in this segment.

Additionally, Alantra has reinforced its German operations with two high-level additions: Dr Sven Harmsen and Mathias Heymann, who join Alantra as Managing Directors. Sven Harmsen is a seasoned industrials expert with more than two decades of M&A experience. He joins from Raymond James, where he was most recently Managing Director for European Industrials in Germany.
With Mathias Heymann, Alantra further strengthens its global tech team, composed of more than 30 bankers. Heymann will bring more than 11 years of experience in the e-commerce and software sectors. He has advised in more than 50 transactions. Heymann joins Alantra from GCA Altium, where he has worked since 2012. Heymann holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.

With these appointments, Alantra further strengthens its specialized and diverse Investment Banking practice, comprising more than 280 professionals in 20 countries. Year-to-date, Alantra has hired more than 25 senior professionals in high growth sectors such as Healthcare, Technology, Real Estate, and FIG, and added a debt advisory team in Italy.
These diverse and specialized capabilities have resulted in record deal activity for the Firm. As of 30 September 2021, Alantra has advised on a record-breaking more than 170 deals globally, including 109 M&A transactions, for a total volume of €10 billion. This performance merited the Firm to rank as the #3 independent advisor in Europe and #1 advisor to Private Equity Firms in Europe, per Mergermarket.
