London – Alantra, the independent global mid-market financial services firm, has strengthened its Financial Institutions Group with the appointment of Adrian Hobcroft as a Director based in London.
Adrian has over 15 years’ experience working in corporate finance, advising a range of Financial Institutions on M&A transactions, capital raises and debt financings. Prior to joining Alantra, he was a Partner at Ashcombe Advisers, an advisory boutique focussed on the UK mid-market, having previously worked in the FIG Corporate Finance team at Deutsche Bank and in the Group Corporate Development teams at Lloyds Bank and Lehman Brothers.
This addition forms part of Alantra’s strategy to expand its sector-specialized offering and follows several senior hires in FIG M&A announced in the last 12 months. Alantra’s FIG capabilities encompass more than 150 dedicated professionals offering a fully integrated range of advisory services (M&A, Structured Funding & Asset Backed Securitizations, Credit Portfolio transactions, and Equity Capital Markets) to clients across Europe, the Americas, and Asia Pacific.
Since 2019, Alantra has completed 250+ transactions worth more than €160bn in the banking sector. In the UK, Alantra recently advised Tandem Bank on its £20m Tier 2 capital raise, acted as sole arranger for Permira’s portfolio company Lowell on a Danish ABS transaction, and advised Secure Trust Bank on its on its exit from the debt purchase market.
At the same time, Adrian’s appointment further strengthens London as one of Alantra’s key hubs and the Group’s Investment Banking headquarters.
